AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, ANNEXING TO THE
CITY THE FOLLOWING TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND
LOCATED IN PA~i BEACH COD-NTY, FLORIDA, AND
LYING CONTIGUOUS TO THE EXISTING MUNICIPAL
LIMITS OF SAID CITY OF DE~AY BEACH: TO PRE-
SCRIBE THE LIASILITY OF THE PROPERTY FOR
MUNICIPAL TAXATION, A~D TO GIVE THE CITY OF
DELRAY BEACH JURISDiCTIOnS, POWER AND AUTHOR-
ITY OVER T~KE TERRITORY EMBRACED IN SAID
ANNEXATION AND PROVIDING FOR THE ZONING
THEREOF.
WHEREAS, Ridge Construction Company of Palm Beach
County, a Florida Corporation, is the sole fee simple title
holder of the property described herein, and said Corporation
has heretofore by its petition for annexation consented and
given permission for the annexation of said territory by the
City of Delray Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Delray
Beach has determined that the hereinafter described land is
contiguous to the existing municipal boundary lines of the
City of Delray Beach, and that thereby the City is authorized
to annex said lands in accordance with its charter granted it
by the State of Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF T~E CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of
Delray Beach, Palm Beach County, Florida, does hereby annex
to said city the following described tract or parcel of land
located in Palm Beach County, Florida, which lies contiguous
to the existing boundaries of said City, to-wit:
The EAST one-half (E~) of ~the Northwest one-quarter
(NW¼) of the Southwest one-quarter (SW~-) of the
Southeast one-quarter (SEJ~)~ and the West one-half
(W~-) of the Northeast one-quarter (NE~) of the
Southwest one-quarter (SW¼) of the Southeast one-

quarter (SE$) of Section 8, Township 46 South,
Range 4~ East, Palm Beach County, Florida;
AND the West one-quarter (W¼) of Lot 4, of the
Subdivision of Section 8, Township 46 South, Range
~ East, according to the plat thereof recorded in
Plat Book l, Page 4, of the public records of Palm
Beach County, Florida;
A~D that portion of Lots 17 and i 8 of the s aid Sub-
division of Section 8, Township 46 South, Range 4~
East, more fully described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the East line of said Lot
l?, a distance of l~ feet South of the Northeast
corner thereof; thence South 00°-29.~0" East

property line notwithstanding the fact that the same may differ
or deviate from the set-back requirements under the zoning
ordinances of the City of Delray Beach now existing.
(c) The water mains to be installed in said area
(but notthe service connections to private property) shall be-
come the property of the City of Delray Beach, Florida, and
said City shall furnish water to the inhabitants of said
property at the same rates charged to other water consumers in
the City of Delray Beach, Florida.
(d) That the City of Delray Beach shall pay to
Ridge Construction Company of PaLm Beach County, fifty per cent
of the water revenues received by the City from the lands shown
upon the said plat of LAKE IDA SHORES, until all sums paid by
said Ridge Construction Company of Palm Beach Co-~uty for actual
costs in the installation of the water main to said LAKE IDA
SHORES from the nearest existing city outlet shall be reimbursed
in full.
SECTION 5. That if any word, phrase, clause, sentence
or part of this Ordinance shall be declared illegal by a court
of competent jurisdiction, such record of illegality shall in
no way affect the remaining portion.
