A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, TO THE STATE OF FLORIDA
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES REQUESTING FUNDS
IN THE AMOUNT OF $200,853 FOR BEACH RESTORATION.
WHEREAS, the City of Delray Beach did~ by letter dated September
23, 1974, request the State, in accordance with provisions of House Bill
2809, to participate in the payment of costs for restoration of the beach
in Delray Beach; and,
WHEREAS, the Governor and Cabinet subsequently approved said
request; and,
WHEREAS, the State of Florida Department of Natural Resources
has allocated monies from the Erosion Control Account in support of this
project; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Delray Beach has provided local support
funds for this project,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY'THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council does hereby request that the
State of Flori~-D-~artment of Natural Resources, authorize payment
from the Erosion Control Account in the General Revenue Fund of the
State of Florida, the sum of $200,853 as the State's contribution this
fiscal year to the total cost of this project; the warrant for such
payment tb be made payable to the City of Delray Beach.
PASSED AND ADOPTED in regular session on this the 8th day of
December, 1975.
