A RESOLUTION OF T~IE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY
BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING NEGOTIATION OF A CONTRACT
FOR FURNISHING AND INSTALLING APPROXIMATELY 2,700
LINEAL FEET OF SIX-FOOT CILAIN-LINK FENCE AT DELRAY
BEACH CEMETERY, LOCATED AT SOUT}{WEST EIGHTH AVENUE,
BETWEEN SOUTHWEST SIXTH STREET AND SOUTHWEST EIGHTH
COURT, CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Manager that the Council,
acting by authority of provisions of Section 78 of the City's Charter, award
a contract for furnishing and installing approximately 2,700 lineal feet of
six-foot chain-~ink~ fence at Delray Beach Cemetery-. located at Southwest
Eighth Avenue between Southwest Sixth Street and Southwest Eighth Court,
City of Delray Beach, Florida.
WHEREAS, three quotations were requested, and three were submitted in
the amount of:
Delray Fence Company $12,771.22
Bill Overton's Budget Fence Co., Inc. 14,950.00
Fence Contractor 16,055.00
WHICH QUOTATIONS, the City Engineering Office certifies to be
reasonable; and
WHEREAS, it is the Council's opinion that the award of this contract
would be in the best interest of the City,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That said contract for furnishing and installing approxi-
mately 2,700 lineal feet of six-foot chain-link fence at Delray Beach
cemetery, located at Southwest Eighth Avenue between Southwest Sixth Street
and Southwest Eighth Court, City of Delray BeaCh, Florida, be awarded to the
apparent low quoter, Delray Fence Company, in the amount of $12,771.22.
SECTION 2. That this improvement shall be funded with money from
federal revenue sharing fund.
PASSED AND ADOPTED in regular session on this the 12th day
of November , 1974.
