Res 658 RESOLUTION NO o 6~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, REQUESTING THE POST OFFICE DEPART~I~T OF THE GOVERNM]~T OF THE. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA TO BUILD A NEW POST OFFICE IN THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA: WHEREAS, the present Post Office in the City of Delray Beach, Florida is antiquated, dilapidated and inadequate to properly handle the normal volume of business end persons calling at said post Office, and is grossly inadequate to handle the volume of business and persons calling at said Post Office during the winter months, and WHEREAS, there exists a serious traffic ~ngestion twice a day in the general area of the Post Office, because of its leca- rich, as well as its inadequacy to properly handle the volume of business and number of persons calling, as aforesaid, and WHEREAS, numerous towns and cities in the State of Florida of smaller size than the City of Delray Beach have received Post office buildings, NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Delray Beach, Florida: 1. That the Post Office Department of the Oovernment of the United States of America cooperate in every way possible with the City of Delray Beach, Florida, in securing a new Post office for this city.
