Res 633 RESOLUTION NO. 633 A RESOLUTION BY ~{E CITY COUNCIL OF THE CiTY OF DELRAY BEACH, PAI~ BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, ADOPTING ITS ;S',5~UAL BUDGET OF ESTIMATED EXP~SES AND REVI~E OF THE WATER SYST~.~ REV~qUE ACCOUNT AND ALLOCATING ~J~D A]~PROPRIATING SAID COLLECTIONS THERE%~DER. ~HEREAS, the City Council of the City of Delray Beach, Palm Beach County, Florida, has prepared its budget of estimated revenue and expenses of the Water System Revenue Account in accordance with Ordinance No. G-7. N~.~, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Delray Beach~ Palm Beach County, Florida that the following budget for the Water System Revenue Account for the fiscal year of the City commencing October let, 1927 and ending September 50th, 1928, is hereby agreed upon and adopted and there is hereby appropriated to such respective purposes the amount of money set opposite such respective purposes: 1927 - 1928 ANTICIPATED PURPOSE: EXP~DITURES Maintenance and Operation $17,000.00 Pumping Plant Operation 9,250.00 Admini stration 6,900. O0 Water System Revenue Certificate Sinking Fund 7,200.00 Water System Revenue Certificate Improvement Fund 2,500.00 $~2, sS0.0o And that the anticipated revenues derived from the Water System Revenue Account will be as follows: 1927 - 1928 iNTICIPATED SOURCE: REVEh~JE Water Sales $51,050.00 Taps & Meters 1,800.00 Maintenance Charges 9,000.00 Service Charges 200.00 Penalty Charges 800.00 $62,850. O0 And that there will be a net cash balance of $20,000.00, more or less, which is hereby appropriated to the General Fund of the City of Delray Beach, Palm Beach County, Florida for the operation of the various departments of the City Government and that the following breakdown of anticipated expenditures is hereby made a part of the resolution. OO GRAND TOTAL:- $ 8,800.00 RESOLUTION NO. 63%A A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, CONCERNING TEE WORK OF THE FLORIDA PO'~R AND LIGHT COMPANY DURING AND AFTER THE HURRICANE OF SEPTEMBER 17, 19&7. WHEREAS during the hurricane of September 17, 19&7, the electric power lines in the City of Delray Beach were damaged causing a failure of electric power at the municipal water plant and throughout the City as a whole, and WME~S during the emergency the Florida Power and Light Company provided mobile power units which supplied electricity to the water plant so that water pressure could be maintained during the emergency and also supplied additional power to supplement the local power station when partial service was re- sumed in the community. NOV,', THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Delray Beach, Florida, that the City Council of the City of Delray Beach, Florida wishes to express its appreciation to the Florida Power and Light Company for its work in providing electric power to the municipal water plant during the storm emergency and also for its work in providing additional power needed for the community as a whole while power service wes being restored; that the City Council also wishes to express its appreciation to the Florida Power & Light Company for the prompt and efficient manner in which electric power service was restored throughout the community after the hurricane.
