RESOLUTION ADOPTING PROPOSED ACT TO
INCLL~DE A PORTION OF SEAGATE SECTION
"B", IN T%~ CITY LID2[TS OF DELRAY
B~_~CE, FLORIDA.
%~EREAS, the owners of that portion of Seagate Section "B"
Subdivision located in I.~ractional Section El, Township 46 South,
Range 40 East, now lying south of the present City Limits of
Delray Beach, Florida, have requested the City Council to bring
said lands into the territorial limits of the City; and
%~}.~ER%EAS, the City Council deems it advisable to have said
lands brought into the City Limits; and
%~SqEP~iAS, the attached copy of a proposed Act to be intro-
duced and passed into law by the 1947 ~lorida Legislature meets
with the approval of the City Council.
N0~~, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL%~ED by the City Council of the
City of Delray Beach, l~'lorida, in regular meeting assembled:
1. That the attached copy of a proposed Act extending
the City Limits of the City of Delray Beach, Florida, so as
to include the following territory:
All that part of the Subdivision known as the plat
of Seagate, Section "B" which is not now in the City
limits of Delray Beach, Florida, the same being a
resubdivision of the South ~8S feet of the North
1~78 feet of Fractional Section Zl, Township 48 South,
F~nge 4~ East, lyin~ between the center line of the
Intracoastal Waterway and the c enter line of State
Road No. AiA, being also a subdivision of a part
of Government Lot i of Fractional Section ~l, Town-
ship ~$ South, Range 4~ East, and also a part of
Tracts 5, 8 and 7 of Richardson's Subdivision of
Government Lot 2 of said Fractional Section B1,
according to a plat thereof on file in Plat Book
al, page 58, in the office of the Clerk of the
Circuit Court in and for Palm Beach County, Florida,
is hereby approved., and the passage of said proposed Act
into law by the 19~7 Legislature is hereby endorsed.
~. That the ~Iembers of the 1947 Legislature from Palm
Beach County are hereby requested by the City Council to
introduce and pass said proposed Act into law.
$. ~uat a certified copy of this Resolution, together
with a copy of the proposed Act, be mailed to the ~onorable
John k. Beacham, State Senator, and to the Honorable Russell
0. Morrow and the Honorable B. Elliott, State Representatives.
