Res 426 RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CITY ENGINEER FOR CERTAIN STREET I~PROVEMENT WORK TO BE OONSTRU~TED ON GLEASON STREET EXTENDING FROM NASSAU STREET NORTH APPROXIMATELY TWO HUNDRED SIXTY (260) FEET, AND ALSO THE ESTIMATED COST OF THE PROPOSED IMPROVEHENTS WHICH ARE SET FORTH IN SAID PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS. BE IT RESOLVED By the City Council of the City of Delray Beach, Florida, that plans and specifications and the est~m-ted cost, amounting to of the proposed street improvement work be accepted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said plans and specifi- cations of the City Engineer be filed with the City Clerk of the City of Delray Beach, Florida, and that the same shall be open to the inspection of the public, and that a copy of said plans, specifications and estimates of cost shall be filed in the office of the City Engineer for public inspection. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said plans and specifications and estimated cost of the proposed improvements cover the following work, to-wit: Grading and paving Gleason Street from Nassau Street to a point two hundred sixty (260} feet north of said Nassau Street. Attest: ~ity 'Clerk Mayor CITY OF DELRAY BEn, CH Paving Specifications Gleason Avenue From Nassau Street-North 260' This project contemplates construction of a new water- hound ~academ pavi~g on above location; 20 feet in width and ac- cording to plan and profile on file in the office of the City Engineer. Line and grade v~lll be furnished by the City end ~ill conform to the approved plan and profile. Header bomrds of No. 2 South Florida Pine, 85~ heart, ° 2 X 6 rough shall be set and allowed to remain in place. These are to be set to true aligrm~ent and grade before any rock is placed. Paving is to be 8" of li~e stone rock compressed to Alternate bids will be entertained for the use of either local rock or State Road ~epertment No. 2 rock. After grading and rolling, the entire surface shall be thoroughly waterbound and properly finished for oiling. The smoothness of the finished work shall be accepted at the discretion of the City Engineer. Each bid shall include the sum of 15¢ per square yard for oiling two coats by the City. Time shall be considered the essence of the contract and for each working day over the time specified in the bid, that the contract remains incomplete, the contractor shall be subject to a penalty of $10.00.
