Res 68 A RE~OLUTION By THE CITY COUI~CIL OF
THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, PALN BEACH COUNTY,
FLORIDA, IN RE~GULAR SESSION SITTING.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the authority afore-
said that bonds of the City of Delray Beach, or its predecessors,
together with all past due coupons ~hich are thereto attached,
shall be received at par in payment of s~peci_~assessment~ liens
heretofore levied or assessed by the City of Delray Beach or its
predecessors, excepting only those special assessments which are
represented by improwement liens against which no bonds w~re
issued, namely: the special assessments for street p~rposes on the
abutting property on South Ridge Boulevard, and Atlantic Avenue
from the Federal Highway through said City to the Florida East
Coast Canal, and shall be accepted in payment of delinquent taxes
for the year 19~0 and p~ier thereto, provi~ed thatmpertion of the
taxes for 19~0 levied ~or maintenance~is p~td in cash, and provided
further that all delinquent taxes on said property shall be paid;
lprovided always that all bonds so tendered must have all
Ii thereto attached; /and be it further provided that when bonds are
delivered to the City of Delray Beach in payment of such liens or
taxes and the amount required to pay s~ch liens and ~axes is less
than the amount of the bond 9r oonds, then and in that event there
shall be delivered to the person, firm or corporation so using said
bond or bends a certificate of indebtedness for the difference be-
tween the amount necessary to pay such liens and ~axes of s~ch~per-!
so~, firm or corporation and ~he amount of the bond or bond~
delivered to ~he City, prSvided said certificate of indebtedness to
obligate the City not otherwise th~an to accept it in payment
assessments and/or for delinquent taxes for the year 19~0 and ~ri~,
as just aoove described; such certificates of indebtedness not te
bear interest; and ~r ovided always that such indebtednesses of theI
former town of Delray Beach shall be accepted only in payment for
specia~ assessment and delinquencies on prop~erty located within the
boundaries of the former town ef Delray Beach; and provided furthe
that the bonds of the former City of Delray shall be accepted only
for the special assessments and delinquent taxes in the territory
within the boundaries of the former City of Delray and not else-
where; said allocations bei~ made in compliance with the present
charter of the City of Delray Beach, Palm Beach County, Florida.
UNANINOUSLY PASSED By the authority aforesaid in regular
