TO PROPERTY FOR DELIIJQUEI~T ~L.XES
WEE~, heretofore the collection of taxes levied
against property situated in that portion of the City compris-
ing the former Town of Delray Beach has been ample, and the
bonds and interest levied against that protion of the City
have been paid when due;
AND ?SHEREAS, the delinquencies on tax payments in
said portion of the City ~have accumulated for the years 1930,
1931 and 1932 to such an amount that if they reme~ n unpaid,
said diestrict will be forCed to default on bonds and interest,
causing extra expense, and a greater levy for bond service,
NOW T?IE. REFORE BE IT R~0LVED, 1st. That hereafter
it shall be the policy and is the intention of this CoLmcil to
proceed according to law, and without delay, to acquire~ title
to all properties vJithin said portion of the City comprising the
former Town of Delray Beach, that is delinquent for two years
since sale and issuance of Tax Sale Certificate, unless the
full amount of such delinquent ~axes are paid, together
penalties and interest.
2nd. That the City Cle~ is hereby instructed to
mail a statement of delinquent taxes with penalties and
interest to the o~.~n, er of each property in said district,
agains? which a Tax Sale Certificate was issued on July 6th,
1931, and stating that it is the intention of this Council
to proceed without delay to acq~uire title to such property
unless all delinquencies, with penalties and interest are
pa id in full by July 6, 1933.
THIS RESOLUTION PASSED by the City Council of
the City of ~elray Beaph, Florida, in regular session
sitting, this the ~'~ day of A!?ril, 19~3.
