A Workshop Meeting of the City Coxxatxaission of the City of Delray Beach, Florida, was called to
order by Mayor Nelson S. McDuffie in the First Floor Conference Room at Cite Hall at 6:00 p.m.,
on Tuesday, May 26, 2009.

Mayor Nelson S. McDuffie called the workshop meeting to order and announced that it had been
called for the purpose of considering the following Item:

Ms. Diane Colonna, Executive Director of the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA),
introduced the following board members: Frank Wheat, Chair; Howard Lewis, Vice-Chair; William,
Branning, Angeleta Gray, Peter Arts, Thomas F. Carney, Jr., and Veronica Covington. Ms. Colonna
stated the CRA district consists of the entire Central Business District, the adjacent neighborhoods
east of I-9~ between Lake lda Road and S.W. 10~' Street and much of the area north of downtown
betareen Swinton Avenue and the Intracoastal Waterway to Boynton Beach.
Ms Colonna conducted a PowerPoint presentation outlining and updating the Commission on
several projects, activities and costs regarding the West Atlantic Corridor:

• Atlantic Park Square
• Eagle's Nest
• S.W. 12s' Avenue Beautification
• Neighborhood Resource Center

Ms. Colonna then discussed the projects and activities as well as costs for the Central Core Area
(between Swinton Avenue and the Intracoastal):

• S.E. 2nd Avenue
• Park 7mpxovements
• Business Development
• Grants and Loans
• Community Sponsorship Grants
The Commission thanked Ms. Calonx~a for the presentation and discussion continued between the
City Commission and the CRA hoard regarding the amount of work performed by Ms. Colonna and
her staff, budget, building partnerships with residents and the city, and getting the zxxessage out
regarding what has and is being accomplished by the Community Redevelopment Agency. It was
the cansen.sus of the Commission to meet with the CRA bi-annually and that the presentation by
Ms. Colonna was thorough and excellent.
Mayor McDuffie adjourned the Workshop Meeting at 7:43 p.m.
