ORDINANCE NO. 83-87
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY
BEACH, FLORIDA, REZONING AND PLACING LAND PRESENTLY ZONED
SAD (SPECIAL ACTIVITIES DISTRICT) IN GC (GENERAL
COMMERCIAL) DISTRICT A PARCEL OF LAND LYING AND BEING IN
THE SOUTHEAST 1/4 OF SECTION 19, TOWNSHIP 46 SOUTH, RANGE
43 EAST. SAID LAND IS LOCATED ON THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF
CONGRESS AVENUE AND LOWSON BOULEVARD, AND AMENDING
"ZONING MAP OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, 1983".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the following described property in the City
of Delray Beach, Florida, is hereby rezoned and placed in the GC
(General Commercial) District as defined in Chapter 30 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Delray Beach to-wit:
A parcel of land in the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of
Section 19, Township 46 South, Range 43 East, Delray
Beach, Palm Beach County, Florida, more particularly
described as follows:
Begin at the intersection of the South right of way line
of Southwest 10th Street, also known as Lowson Boulevard,
and the West right of way line of the Seaboard Airline
Railroad; thence southerly, along said railroad right of
way line, 400.00 feet; thence westerly, parallel with the
said South right of way line of S.W. 10th Street, 365.00
feet to a line 67.00 feet East of and parallel with the
center line of Congress Avenue as shown in Road Plat Book
4 at pages 66 and 67, Palm Beach County Public Records;
thence northerly, along said parallel line, 250.00 feet
to a line 150.00 feet south of and parallel with the said
South right of way line of S.W. 10th Street; thence
easterly, along said parallel line, 90.00 feet; thence
northerly, and parallel with the said centerline of
Congress Avenue 150.00 feet to the said South right of
way line of S.W. 10th Street; thence easterly, along said
South right of way line, 275.00 feet to the Point of
Beginning aforedescribed.
The subject property is located on the southeast corner
of Congress Avenue and Lowson BoUlevard.
The above-described parcel contains a 3.04 acre parcel of
land, more or less.
Section 2. That the Planning Director of said City shall, upon
the effective date of this ordinance change the Zoning Map of Delray
Beach, Florida, to conform with the provisions of Section 1 hereof.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall become effective ten days
after passage on second and final reading.
