06-03-14 Special Meeting Minutes ,II SPECIAL MEETING JUNE 3, 2014 A Special Meeting of the City Commission of the City of Delray Beach, Florida, was called to order by Mayor Cary Glickstein in the Commission Chambers at City Hall at 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday,June 3, 2014. Roll call showed: Present- Commissioner Alson Jacquet Vice-Mayor Shelly Petroha Commussioner Adam Frankel Deputy Vice-Mayor Jordana Jarjuta Mayor Cary Glickstein Absent- None Also present were- Robert Barcinski,Acting City Manager Terrill Pyburn, Interim City Attorney Chevelle D. Nubin, City Clerk Mayor Glickstein called the Special meeting to order and announced that it had been called for the purpose of considering the following Item. SPECIAL MEETING AGENDA 1. CLOSED ATTORNEY /CLIENT SESSION pursuant to F.S. 286.011(8) re: Vincent Gray vs. City of Delray Beach, Ralph Phillips and Anthony Strianese Case No. 502010CA30359X X X XM B: Attendees: Mayor Cary D. Glickstein Vice Mayor Shelly Petrolia Deputy Vice-Mayor Jordana Jarjura Commissioner Adam Frankel Commissioner Alson]acquet Acting City Manager Robert Barcinski Interim City Attorney Terrill Pyburn Outside Counsel,Rudy Gomez,Esq. A certified court reporter Purpose: Discuss settlement negotiations and strategy related to litigation expenditures in the above case. Mayor Glickstein gave a brief overview regarding the Closed Attorney/Client Session. He explained that the meeting would include the list of attendees as outlined above. The session would last about forty-five(45) minutes. Mayor Glickstein convened the meeting at 5:01 p.m.; all Attendees met in the First Floor Conference Room for the Closed Door Attorney/Client Session. i i Mayor Ghckstein reconvened the Special Meeting at 5:34 p.m. 2. REVIEW AN OFFER OF SETTLEMENT IN THE CASE OF VINCENT GRAY AND THE CITY OF DURAY BEACH, RAPLH PHILLIPS AND ANTHONY STRIANESE: Consider an Offer of Settlement in the case of Vincent Gray and the City of Delray Beach, Ralph Phillips and Anthony Strianese. Mr. Frankel moved to postpone this matter (Offer of Settlement in the Case of Vincent Gray and the City of Delray Beach, Ralph Phillips and Anthony Strianese) to a future date so more information can be provided, seconded by Mrs. Petrolia. Upon roll call the Commission voted as follows: Mr. Jacquet — Yes; Mr. Frankel — Yes; Ms. Ja jura — Yes; Mayor Glickstein — Yes; Mrs. Petrolia—Yes. Said motion passed with a 5 to 0 vote.
