Re Waste Management Cost SummaryHolly: Thank you for the opportunity to review this information. Our pricing managers are away for the Holidays yet we are reaching out to them to assist us in responding to your inquiry. The chart you sent, unfortunately, does not match our proposal and we have some questions that will help us with our review. What amount was deducted for the elimination of City Services on exhibit 9? It was stated in the selection committee that $42,000 annually would be the reduction. Is the price for the clamshell included? What amount was deducted from side-door and then added to A-Gar? Does this correct for the commercial compactor disposal price? To clarify, we had tripled the disposal price for the compaction ratio and it should be $2.81 as it is for the other commercial entries. The value of our optional benefits package is $1.5 million over the life of the contract. We are hopeful that this could be included in the pricing analysis. On behalf of Waste Management, we are proud to offer to continue our exceptional service and best safety record in the industry, with an reduction in contact price. If desired by the City, Waste Management would begin the proposed prices at the time of the award, presenting a possible one time additional savings to the City of $179,000. I am rushing our response to you, so please let me know if Monday is acceptable for our response.
