PUBLIC HEARING
8. Ordinance No. 56-85 - Amending Code - Adding Financial Insti-
tutions as Additional Permitted Use. Second Reading and PUBLIC
HEARING amending Ordinance No. 16-79 to add Financial
Institutions as an additional permitted use.
Recommendation: Council action.
Action: To adopt the Ordinance on Second Reading.
9. Ordinance No. 57-85- zoning Ordinance Amendment Canopies.
Marauees and Covered Walkwavs. Second Reading and PUBLIC
HEARING amending Chapter 30 "Zoning" of the Code of Ordinances
to allow canopies, marquees and covered walkways to be placed
over the front and side street setbacks and to extend into the
right-of-way when approved by City Council in the GC, SC, LC and
CBD zoning districts.
Recommendation: Planning & Zoning Board approved 7-0.
Action: To adopt the Ordinance on Second Reading.
10. Ordinance No. 58-85 - Brandt Annexation. Second Reading and
PUBLIC HEARING relative to annexing a O. 422-acre parcel, sub-
ject to GC (General Commercial) zoning district, located on the
northeast corner of Lake Avenue South and North Federal Highway.
Recommendation: Planning Director recommends approval since
the request is consistent with the City I S
Land Use Plan.
Action: To adopt the Ordinance on Second Reading.
11. Ordinance No. 64-85 - Community Redevelopment Agencv. Second
Reading and PUBLIC HEARING relative to appointing members of the
Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency.
Recommendation: Council action.
Action: To adopt the Ordinance on Second Reading.
12. Ordinance No. 66-85 Beautification Trust Fund Committee.
Second Reading and PUBLIC HEARING rela ti ve to establishing a
Beautification Trust Fund Committee.
Recommendation: Council action.
Action: To adopt the Ordinance on Second Reading.
CONSENT AGENDA
13. Roots Cultural 8th Annual Festival. Consider approval of follow-
ing requests:
a. $1,000 donation from the City to construct the center
stage at Pompey Park. Funds are to come from the
1984/85 budget.
b. Waiver of recreational facility use fees.
c. Display festival flags along Atlantic Avenue busi-
nesses during length of festival.
Recommendation: Council action.
Action: Motion to approve.
*14. Drainage Pro;ect - Palm Square. Consider award of a contract to
the low bidder, Golden Eagle Engineering Contractors, Inc. in
the amount of $46,380 for storm drainage project at Palm Square
and S. E. 1st Street, with funds to come from the 1984/85 budget.
Recommendation: Director of Public Works/City Engineer recom-
mends approval.
Action: Motion to award contract.
* 15. Annexation Request Cancellation (Garfield). Resolution No. 59-
85 rescinds Resolution No. 53-85 requesting permission from Palm
Beach County Board of Commissioners to annex a 0.97-acre parcel
subject to POI (Professional, Office and Institutional), located
at the northwest corner of Linton Boulevard and S. W. lOth
Avenue. (Request was withdrawn at the June 11th meeting. The
appropriate resolution will be passed when the complete
application is submitted).
Recommendation: Council action.
Action: To adopt the Resolution.
*16. Acceptance of Streets. Resolution No. 60-85 accepts all streets
as operational as recorded in the plat of Lake Forest South.
Recommendation: Director of Public Works/City Engineer recom-
mends approval.
Action: To adopt the Resolution.

17. Appointment - Civil Service Board. Consider appointment of an
alternate member to the Civil Service Board to a term ending
July 1, 1987.
Recommendation: Council action.
Action: Motion to appoint Board member.

ment of a member to the Delray Beach Housing Authority to a term

* 21. Ordinance No. 67-85 Zoning Ordinance Amendment Parking.

vehicles, boats, buses, trailers and trucks in residential areas.
