7. Ordinance No. 11-84 The Commons Annexation. Second
Reading and PUBLIC HEARING relative to annexing a 4.67-acre
parcel subject to SAD (Special Activities District) to
allow an office development. The property is located on
West Atlantic Avenue, west of High Point Boulevard, east of
Hamlet Drive, if extended north.
Recommendation: Planning & Zoning Board approved 6-1

Action: To adopt the Ordinance on Second Reading.
8. Ordinance No. 12-84 - The Commons Rezoning. Second Reading
and PUBLIC HEARING relative to rezoning of a 4.67-acre
parcel of land, subject to SAD (Special Activities
District), located on West: Atlantic Avenue, west of High
Point Boulevard, east of Hamlet Drive, if extended north.
Recommendation: Planning & Zoning Board approved 6-1

* 12. Sea Turtle Nest Relocation. Consider award of a contract
to the low bidder, Nova University, in the amount of
$12,440 for beach monitoring and turtle nest relocation
from April 14th through September 1, 1984, with funds to
come from the beach renourishment fund.
Recommendation: Director of Public Works/City Engineer

,14. Nine Manhole Re9lacements. Consider award of a contract to
the low bidder for replacement of nine manholes. Estimated
cost is $15,000 to $20,000 each, with funds. to come from
the 1983 Revenue Bond.
Recommendation: Council action.
Action: Motion to award contract.
* 15. Rescue Chassis. Consider award of a contract to the low
bidder, Sherwood Pontiac, in the amount of $11,616 for a
1984 C-30 Chevrolet cab and chassis for the Fire
Department. Funds are to come from the 1983-84 budget.
Recommendation: City Manager and Fire Chief recommend
approval.
Action: Motion to award contract.
* 16. Rezoning Request - South side of S. E. lOth Street. between
Dixie Boulevard and Federal Highway (Roger C. and Marcella
A. Boos). Resolution No. 21-84 requests permission from
the Palm Beach County Board of Commissioners to rezone land
annexed from RH (High Density) (County) to RH (Medium High
to High Density Dwelling District) (City) .
Recommendation: Planning & Zoning Board approved 6-0
subject to conditions stated in the
attached memorandum.

* 17. Rezoning Request - East of Dixie Highway. between S. E.
lOth Street and the Delray Mall (Joseph P. and Emily F.
Penta) . Resolution No. 22-84 requests permission from the
Palm Beach County Board of Commissioners to rezone land
annexed from CG (General Commercial) (County) to RM-lO
(Multiple Family Dwelling District) (City) .
Recommendation: Planning & Zoning Board approved 6-0.

Consider appeal of Planning & Zoning Board denial of site
plan modification for Dumar Plaza to allow a bank drive-in
facility.
Recommendation: Council action.
20. Tropic Boulevard Seawall. Consider award of a contract to
the low bidder, B. K. Mar ine Construction, Inc. in the
amount of $49,500 for replacement of Tropic Boulevard
seawalls. $10,000 is available in the Public Works budget
and $39,500 in the Contingency Account.
Recommendation: Director of Public Works/City Engineer

* 21. Ordinance No. 16-84 - Granada Estates Rezoning. Conditional
Use and Site and Development Plan Approval. First Reading
relative to rezoning a 11.44-acre parcel of land, subject
to SAD (Special Activities District) for a proposed 115
uni t, single family, zero lot line development. Subj ect
property is located on the north side of Atlantic Avenue,
between Barwick Road and High Point Boulevard.

Federal Highway.

located east of Dixie Highway, between S. E. 10th Street
and the Delray Mall.

28. Sewer Rate Studv for Hiahland Beach. Consider selection of
engineering firm to conduct sewer rate study for Highland
Beach.
