Pursuant to Section 3.07 of the City Charter of the City of
Delray Beach, Florida, Mayor Leon M. Weekes has instructed me to
advise you of a Special Meeting to be held in the Council Chambers
of the City Hall at 11:45 A.M., Friday, October 31, 1980.
This meeting has been called for the purpose of considering:
(1) Acceptance of bids for the sale of three parcels of
City-owned land.
(2) Resolution No. 104-80 to award contract for repair of
sewer trench and resurface Highland Avenue.

RESOLUTION NO. 104-80
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF DELRAY BEACH,
FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR
THE REPAIR OF A SEWER TRENCH AND THE RESURFACING
OF HIGHLAND AVENUE, FROM HOMEWOOD BLVD. TO THE
DELRAY BEACH COUNTRY CLUB ENTRANCE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Delray Beach, upon the recommendation
of the City Manager, deems it in the best interest of the City to award a
contract for the repair of a sewer trench and the resurfacing of Highland
Avenue, and,
WHEREAS, quotations for this work have been received as follows:

Resurface Road: 5,051
TOTAL: $10,551
Repair Sewer Trench $ 5,062
Resurface Road: 4,672
TOTAL: $ 9,734

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That a contract for the repair to and the resurfacing
of Highland Avenue be awarded to the low bidder, Dixie Asphalt Co.
Section 2. That the funds for the repair of the sewer trench come
from sewer account no. 441-416-536-35.55 in the amount of $3,744, and that
the funds for the resurfacing of Highland Avenue, in the amount of $3,456
to come from a transfer from the Country Club contingency account to the
Country Club Administration account, repairs other.
PASSED AND ADOPTED in special session on this 31st day of
OctOber, 1980.
