Res No. 14-17RESOLUTION NO. 14-17 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, RECOGNIZING AND COMMENDING JACQUELYN BROWN FOR THIRTY YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH. WHEREAS, Jacquelyn began her career with the City of Delray Beach on April 6, 1987 and on April 6, 2017, reached a milestone in her career, having achieved thirty years of full-time service with the City; and WHEREAS, Jacquelyn was hired as a Communication Specialist in the Police Department; she soon became a Police Aide, then Community Service Specialist, then Community Service Officer where she currently serves with distinction; and WHEREAS, her excellent work, as well as her attitude of care and concern for others, always reflect favorably upon the Police Department and City; and WHEREAS, Jacquelyn is a valuable, integral part of the Police Department; she is skilled in traffic crash investigation, report writing, problem solving, and customer service; and WHEREAS, handling an exceptional work. load in a highly professional manner is the norm for Jacquelyn, she approaches her responsibilities with a "can -do" spirit and sets an excellent example for her team; she is always considerate and understanding with those she serves; and WHEREAS, Jacquelyn displays the highest level of ethical behavior at all times and always puts the City's interests above all else; she consistently performs above expectations, delivers exceptional customer service, and serves with pride. WHEREAS, Jacquelyn has been recognized for her professionalism, dedication, and compassion. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the City Commission of the City of Delray Beach hereby recognizes and commends Jacquelyn Brown for thirty years of dedicated and faithful public service. Section 2. That the City Commission hereby congratulates and expresses sincere thanks and appreciation to Jacquelyn Brown for her many years of service, and wishes her the best of health and happiness in her continued employment.
