Section 1. That Chapter 32, "Departments, Boards and Commissions" Section 32.62 "Composition; App-ointmeat;Telim-is amended to read as follows., The Police Advisory Board _shall be composed of thirteen (13) regular The City Commission shall fill vacancies In accordance with City Policies and Procedures. That Chapter 32, `Departments, Boards and Commissions" Section 32.65 "Duties and Responsibilities"is mended to read as follows: (A) Serve as liaison between the Police Department and the community, and the City to increase f communication between the police Department and the City; ) To assist the Police Chief and District Commanders,through input,in tnalldng quality decisions; to assist in the addressing of short-tetin and long-term concerns of the community and help identify priorities and.solutions; ( To provide input on police policies, procedures and practices designed to decrease Misunderstandings with and among the members of the com m--amity;and P) To review and make recommendations condi such other tnatters as may be.referred to the board, from time to time,by the Chief of Police, the City Manager or City Commission; To com-mlete a Police ride-a-lonu on ap ointment to the Board. t' Section. 4. That Chapter 32, "Departments, Boards and Commissions", Section 32.66, "Meetings"5 is amended to read as follows: Sec. 32.66 MEETINGS (A) The Police Advisory Board shall meet at least once f-�every other-month on the second Monday ir�e of the month except when that date falls on a holiday. In that citcu stance, the Board shall establish another regular meeting date for that qaa±teF .month. The Police Advisory Board may hold special-meetings at the direction of its chairperson upon twenty-four(24)hours'notice. B) All meetings shall be open to the public and the order of business and procedure shall be as prescribed by the rules and regulations to be formulated by the Police Advisory hoard and adopted by the City commission. it Section 5. That should any section or p tovision of this ordinance or any portion thereof, any paragraph, sentence, clause or word be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remainder hereof as a whole or part hereof other 'than the part declared invalid. Section 6. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be, and the same are hereby repealed,. Section 7.
