76-83 ORDINANCE NO. 76-~3 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, A~ENDING CHAPTEK 29, "~ATER ANL SE~E~S", ARTICLE III , "SEWERS AND SEWAGE DISPOSAL", DI¥ISION 1, "GENERALLY", OF TH~ CODE OF OP~DINANC~.$ OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, BY A~NDING SECTION 29-~3, "SE~- VICE RATES AND 'CHARGES IMPOSED", TO INCREAS~ ThE MODITY C~ARGES FGR THE SOUTH CENTRAL REGIONAL WA~TEWAT~R TREATMENT DISPOSAL BOARD FOR BOTH RESIDENTIAL AND RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS, BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE TH~. CITY, BASED UPON CERTAIN CUSTO~R, CAPACITY AND CO~ODIT~ CHARGES; PROVIDING A SAVING CLAUSE; PROVIDING AN EFFEC- TIVE DATE. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE cITy CObNCIL OF THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Section 2~-63, "Service rates and charges im- posed'', of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Delray Beach, Florida, is hereby amended to read as follows: The following rates and charges shall be collected from the users city sewerage system: (a) ~esidential dwelling units. A residential dwellin9 unit is herein defined to be any family living unit, and, where two (2; or more families are living on the same premises, each shall be considered as a separate residential dweliin9 unl~. In apart- ment buildings, condominiums, cooperatives, duplexes, resort dwelling units, and the like, and per each trailer space in a trailer park, each living unit shall be considered a separate residential dwelling unit. A monthly, sanitary sewerage service charge is hereby imposed upon each residential dwelling unit, as more specifically set forth hereinafter, to which san~tar~ sewerage service is available through the facilities afforded by the municipally owned sewerage system, according to the ~ol- lowing schedule: Inside Outs~ae Type of Customer City Cit~ B~ s idential: Capacity charge (per residential dwelling unit; $5.22 $6.53 Commodity charge (based on metered water with maximum of 10,000 gallons): City (per 1,000 gallons) ............ 0.55 0.69 South Central Regional Wastewater Treatment Disposal Board (per 1,000 gallons; ...... ~ 0.5~5 0.6963 Note: %~/~ere no water service is provided, there shall ue a monthly customer charge of two dollars and sixteen cents ~2.16) per residential dwelling unit, and the commodit~ charge shall be based on the maximum of ten thousand (10,U00) gallons.
