A Special Session or t.he '>Cit.y Council of t.he City of Delray Beach
was held at. B:30 A. M. in t.he City Manager's Office, wit.h Vice-Mayor B. C.
Butler 1.n t.he Chair, and City Manager H. P. Edmond, and t.he follmrj,ng Council-
men present.: F. B. McNeece and J. B. Smit.h, a quorum being present..
A mot.ion was made by Councilman Smit.h, seconded by Councilman McNeece,
t.hat. the following account.s be closed and t.he . funds be t.ransferred t.o t.he Water
System Revenue Account.:

Upon call of roll t.he IIIOtion carried unanimously.
In a JIIl)tion made by Councilman McNeece, seconded by ~ouncilman Smith,
the transfer of $ 10,000.00 from the Public Impro-ve)lll!lnt Account. to the Water
System Revenue Account was authorized, this &IIIllunt to be transterred back to
the Public Impro-vement Account as soon as tunds from the sale ot the Water
Revenue Certiticates are obtained.

The tinal estimate ot Mike Blank Nurseries, hav1.ng been approved by the
Finance Committee, was ordered paid in the t.otal amount ot $ 15,630.87 less
$ 183.65 due Smith ~ Gillespie, Ehgwers, for additional engineering super-
vision and expense, this tinal payment not t.o be made, hClll'e-ver, until proot
had been turnished that all bills tar material and labor ha-ve been paid 1.n
tull.

City Manager Edmond presented a tentative plat of a Subdivision being
developed by E. B. Nichols on South Sw1.nton Avenue, tor the approval ot t.he
Council, stating that lIr. Nichols had agreed to construct 50' street.s.
Council agreed to approve the plat it it is1.n accordance with this
tentative sketch. '
Ilr. Edmond reported that the landing strip being constructed by lIr. Talbot
at the Delray AirpllJ'k will not. be ready tor use tor sixty to ninety days, In
the meanti,me t.,he Delta Air Lims would like to make arrangements to use t.he
landing strip they have been using, on Cit.y owned property near the Golf' Course,
at a IIIOnthly rental of $ 15.00 per month, and also build a small oftice build1.ng
which will be removed as soon as the Airpark is completed. They will post a
$ 100.00 bond with the City.
A IIIOtion ".8s made by Councilman McNeece, seconded by Councilman Smit.h, that
as long as no hazard is connected with this operation, COuncil allow t.he Delta
Air Lines to use this landing strip and t.o construct. a building at 1!his l-ocation,
the buildj,ng to be removed to t.he Airparl< as soon as t.he landing ll:trip is available.
