04-09-45 Regular 2,128 COUNCIL CHAMBER April 9th, 1945 The Oouncil met in regular session at $ P.M. with all members of the City Council and the City Attorney present. The Mayor asked it anyone in the audience wished - the minutes of last regular meeting held March 27th read. No one did. Mr. John Talbot, ~res. of Company who anticipate building an airport near Lake Ida. outlined ,his companies' plans to the 00unci1. He stated he needed, the assurance of the city that a road would be buil~ to tbe airport, after which he felt the County would agree to build a road on their portion of land. This was ordered turned over to the Planning'Board for study and recommendation. A letter from Smith & Gillespie ~ngineers was read and ordered filed, as was letter from City vry Cleaners. Next communication from P.L.Gaddis,Sllpt. of F.E.C. asking city. to cooperate with our Polieevept. to keep trespassers off wRai1road Avenuew was read. The Olerk was instructed to contact Mr Gaddis and find out if he wished all traffic on this road stopped. TWo letters requesting maps C5f the city were read. By motion regUlarly made, seoonded and carried, the Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids on this work. City Auditor Winn turned over to the Clerk 15,100 worth of City of Delray,Beach Befunding Bonds, series ~B~.
