tr-he Council met in special session at 11 A.M
to take aCl;lon on an emergency mat'Ger, and for any o"ther
matters of business needing the action of the Council at
this time, on c~ll of the Mayor. The following members were
present: Mr. Dewitt, Mr. Jacobs, Mr. Thayer, r~. Vfuite,
and Attorney Nowlin. Mr. Haters was absent.
A discussion ensued regarding the advisability of
rescinding the action of the Council in granting the
issuance of the license for liquor store to John Morey.
After hearing from ~~. Morey, and his Attorney, Jordan
Johnson, Mr. White moved that the Council take no action
on the matter of deciding whether or not to rescind their
action in voting to grant a liquor license to John Morey,
pending the outcome of the case against him in the City
Court, and upon Mr. Johnson's statement that no mandamus
action will be taken, pending the outeome of said case,
and until a reasonable time thereafter in which the Council
can decide said issue. Mr. Morey affirmed l,~. Johnson fS
statement. Mr. DeWitt seconded the motion whiCh carried
unanimously on roll call.

By motion regularly made, seconded and unanimously
carried, N~. H. A. Hubbard was granted permission to move
building from west Atlantic Avenue, west on 11th street
about six blocks, 'providing he meets with city regulations
in said moving. '
There being no further business to come before
the council, Council adjourned.
