COUNCIL CHAMBER

August 6, 1940
In conformity with Section 137 of the City Charter,
the Council met in adjourned special session at 7:30 P.M.
for the purpose of canvassing returns of the Special Zon-
ing Amendment Election held August 6th. All members of the
Council were present.
By motion of Mr. Hill, seconded by Mr. Bradshaw
and on roll call unanimously carried, the following re-
solution was duly 'adopted:
WHEREAS, certified copies of the eleotion returns
as delivered to the Mayor and City Clerk by eleotion
officials in Charge of the special Zoning Amendment
Eleotion, held in the City of Delray Beach on August
6th, show 214 votes to have been cast on the question
voted upon, as follows:

35 votes
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City
Council of the City of Delray Beach, Florida, that
said election returns show the electors to have
been favorable to, and to have voted for the rati-
fication and ad.option of the following ordinance

nAn Ordinance of the City of Delray Beach, in
Palm Beach County, Florida, prescribing and
setting forth ~ules and regulations for the
filing and disposition of application for special
permits and for re-classification under zon-
ing ordinance of property located within the
City of Delray Beach, Florida, and repealing
all ordinances, or parts of ordinances, insofar
as the same are in conflict herewith.n
