THE COUNCILMEN AND THE FIRE CHIEF, OTHER COUNCIL MEMBERS REQUESTED
THAT THE OWNERS GRANT EASEMENT TO THE CITY FOR THE SEWER LINE
ALREADY LAID AT THE SOUTH END OF THE BLOCK AND FOR THE EXTENSION
OF SUCH LINE TO A POINT WHERE SERVICE MAY BE EXTENDED TO HOUSES
WHICH MAY BE BUILT IN THE NORTH END OF SAID BLOCK; ALSO THAT FIVE
FEET ALONG THE ENTIRE EAST LINE OF BLOCK 124 BE DEDICATED TO THE
CITY FOR SIDEWALK PURPOSES. IT WAS FINALLY MOVED BY MR. CREGO
THAT THE PLAT BE ACCEPTED, SUBJECT TO NECESARY CORRECTIONS. MR.
BRADSHAW SECONDED THE MOTION AND ON ROLL CALL THE VOTE WAS AS
FOLLOWS: MR. BRADSHAW YES, MR. CREGO YES, MR. HILL YES, MR. JACOBS
YES, MR. MILLER NO. MR. MILLER STATED HE HAD VOTED IN THE NEGATIVE

COUNCIL, A PLAT OF OCEAN BEACH LOTS, INDICATING THEREON, WHAT HE
CONSIDERED AS THE APPROXIMATE WEST LINE OF THE OCEAN BOULEVARD,
THE PRESENTED PLAT WAS DISCUSSED AND COMPARED WITH THE GEORGE CARR
PLAT PREVIOUSLY ACCEPTED BY THE COUNCIL. THE MEMBERS FINALLY
DECIDED ON AN ARBITRARY LINE TO BE USED IN PREPARING A PLAT FOR
ACCEPTANCE OF THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, AND FILED FOR REFERENCE
AS THE DULY RECORDED PLAT OF SAID OCEAN BEACH LOTS, IT WAS THERE-
FORE MOVED BY MR. HILL THAT SUCH LINE BE APPROVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL AND GEORGE BROCKWAY BE AUTHORIZED TO PREPARE FILING PLATS
ESTABLISHING THIS WEST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE, EXTENDING FROM THE NORTH

CONVEN~ION AT BREVARD, N.C. AND THAT NORRIS BIRD BE EMPLOYED AT
$10.00. A WEEK TO TAKE THE POOL MANAGER'S PLACE DURING THAT TIME.
IT WAS ACCORDINGLY MOVED BY COUNCILMAN BRADSHAW THAT MR. CROFT
BE GRANTED THE NECESSARY TWO WEEKS' LEAVE OF ABSENCD AND THAT
$20.00 BE PAID FOR THE EMPLOYMENT OF A SUBSTITUTE MANAGER, WHILE
