February 2D, 1939
The Council met in special session at 7:30
P.M. on call of the Mayor to prepare the ballot box for
the Bond Refunding Election to be held February 21, 1939
in the Firemen · s Hall. Councilmen Bradshaw, Hill, Crego
and Miller were present. Councilman Hall and the City
Attorney were absent.
First, on motion regularly made, seconded and
carried the fOllowing ordinance was placed on its second
reading:
ORDINANCE 252
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DEmAY BEXCH, FLORIDA, CALLING AN ELECTION OF
THE FREEHOLDERS THEREIN, WHO ARE QUALIFIED ELECTORS
THEREIN, TO EITHER APPROVE OR DISAPPROVE THE
ISSUANCE OF REFUNDING BONDS UNDER THE TERMS OF
A CERTAIN BROPOSAL SET FORTH HEREIN.

and same having been read In full fOr the second time it
was moved by Mr. Miller, seconded by Mr. Bradshaw and
unanimously carried that the ordinance be passed on its
second reading and final passage.
The City Clerk then presented to the Council
the required number of official ballots, a list of reg-
istered freehold electors, tally sheets and other required
paraphernalia for the holding of the special bond election
in the City on February 21, 1939.
After the ballots, list of voters etc. were
examined by the Council and found to be in proper form
and order" it was moved by Mr. Bradshaw, seconded by Mr.
Miller and unanimously carried that the ballot box be
locked, sealed and delivered to the Clerk of the Election
Board with instructions as to the holding of said special
bond election in compliance with the Charter of the City
of Delray'Eeach and the general election laws of the
State of Florida.
The Chairman of the Parks Committee asked
authority to buy rope and hinges for the making of a
first-aid case and to purchase various first-aid remedies
for use of the life-guard. It was accordingly moved by
Mr. Bradshaw that the Chairman of the Parks Committee
be authorize~ to procure these small itellls,as requested
for said purpose. Mr. Crego seconded the'motion, which

carried unanimously. Mr. Miller also recommended that
three more posts be jettied down out in the ocean.
By motion of Mr. Crego, seconded by Mr. Brad-
shaw and unanimously carried, Council adjourned.
