COUNCIL CHAMBER - June 28, 1939
Howard Cromer appeared before the members stating a
Mr. Woodruff, of West Palm Beach, had offered to sell the City
2600 feet of six inch cast iron pipe at a price of .60~ per foot
f.o.b. Delray Beach. After discussion, it was moved by Mr. Brad-
shaw that Mr. Baker be authorized to purchase said pipe, providing
it is clean and in good condition and meets with his approv~l.
Mr. Miller seconded the motion, and on roll call, it carried
unanimous ly.
Councilman Miller moved that the examination papers of
applicants for the position of building inspector be filed in the
City Clerk's office for future reference. Mr. Bradshaw seconded
the motion, which carried unanimously on roll call.
The matter of purchasing a new truck for the street
department was then taken up and it was moved by Mr. Miller that
the City buy same from the low bidder, as per bids submitted at
meeting of June 12th last. Mr. Bradshaw seconded the motion, and
on roll call, the vote was as follows: Mr. Bradshaw yes, Mr.Creg
yes, Mr. Hall yes, Mr. ,Hill yes, Mr. Miller yes. The motion
carried and it was agreed to purchase same from Delray Service
Garage, lowest bidder at the quoted price of $725.00.
It was regularly moved, seconded and carried that
Council adjourn.
