The Council met in special session at 5:00 P.M.
on call of the Mayor.

City Attorneys Adams & Nowlin and Councilmen
Bradshaw, l!:rego, RaIl and Hill were present.
The Mayor stated the meeting had been called,
at the request of Mr. Nowlin, for the purpose of pro-
perly authoriZing The Irving Trust Company to act as
paying agent for the City of Delray Beach on its new
refunding bond issue; also to receive bill of Chapman
& Cutler for ~600.00 covering legal services, in
examining and renderinG opinion upon the proceedings
of said $1,014,535.00 Refundine:, Series A. Issue, and
taking what action seemed necessary in these matters.

The City Attorney thereupon submitted the follow-
ing resolution, which was read in full by the Clerk. '

RES OLUTION 340
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF DELRAY BEACH DESIGNATING THE IRVING TRUST
COMPANY OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK, AS PAYING
AGENT FOR Rc,FUNDll'lG RONDS OF SAID CITY; AND
AUTHORIZll'lG TIE MAYOR AJ\1D CLERK OF SAID CITY
TO ::<lITER n~o AN AGREEllENT THEREFOR.
Mr. Crego moved that said resolution be adopted.
Mr. Hall seconded the motion and on roll call the vote
was as follows: I,!r. Bradsha'.vyes, Mr. Crego yes,
Mr. Hall yes, Mr. Hill yes. The motion carried.
Mr. No".din then presented the bill of Chapman
& Cutler, and stated that Thomas M. Cook had approved
same, and had reCJ.uested that it be paid as soon as
possible, if found in order. It was reconmended that
the bill take the regular course" or procedure and be
presented for approval, in the usual manner, at the
next regular meeting of the Council.
The bill of Adams & Nowlin for services in
validating the Refund Issue in the Circuit Court and
carryin~ it through the Supreme Court, together with
incidental expenses attached thereto, amounting to
$3,926.83 was also presented. Mr. Crego moved that
the bill be approved, to be taken up and ordered paid

at next meeting. There was no second to Mr. Crego's
motion so action was deferred in approval of the bill
until another meeting of the Council.

Councilman Miller arrived just at the close of.
the meeting.
The business of the meeting~aving been concluded,
and there be ing no further business to come before the
Council, it was re['Ularly moved, se conde'] and carried
that Council adjourn.
