COUNCIL CHAMBER

The Counoil convened in adjourned special session as a
Board of Equalization at 9:15 P.M. after the regular Council
meeting with the following members present. Mr. GW31nn, Mr.
Hall, Mr. Hill and Mr. WOdischek. Mr. Miller was absent.
Mr. Crego came before the Board and protested the assess-
ment plaoed against his two-story apartment house on N. W. First
Avenue, stating it was altogether out of line compared with
other buildings in said block. Upon oomparing with the appraisal
sheetu for his Swinton Avenue residence and truKof Mr. Vollmer
and Miss Burkholder, tt appeared that the N. W. First StFcetAve~ve
apartment had been priced too high per oubio foot and others
too low. The Board therefore promised Mr. Crego to investigate
and correct any discrepanoy in said assessment and to advise him
a~to final decision.
There being no further protestants, the Board, by motion
regularly made, seconded and oarried, adjomrned to meet the
following evening at 7:30 again for the purpose of equalization.
