COUNCIL CHAMBER
August 25, 1937
The Council met, at 7:30 P.M., in adjourned
special session as a Board of Equalization, pursuant
to a notice duly published, and according to the or-
dinances and charter of the City. The Mayor, City
Attorney and all members of the Council were present.
It was stated that the Council had held five
previous meetings as a Board of Equalizers, adjourn-
ing said meetings from time to time and that all
complaints had been heard and investigated and that
the Council was now prepared to conclude its work as
a Board of Equalization.
It was reported by Councilmen Barton and wod-
ischek that the complaint of Allen Persoff regarding
personal property assessment of the Meliable Store
had been investigated, and they were of the opinion
that said assessment was due a reduction, and recom-
mended that same be reduced from tOO.OO to $250.00
j
From what information members of the Board
had been able to obtain as to date houses were com-
pleted in the Deibel-Williamson Subdivision, it appeared I
that none of the four houses located therein had been 1
finished on January 1st and were therefore unassess-
able for 1937 tax.
It was accordingly moved by Mr. Wodischek,
seconded by Mr. Barton, and unanimoUSly carried, that ,
the Reliable Store's personal property assessment be plac~
at $250.00 and the Deibel-Williamson property be ,
;'~
assessed as unimproved property for the year 1937. '
There being no further complaints, and the
Board having completed its work of equalization, the
1937 Tax Assessment Roll as p~epared and equalized,
was presented by the Tax Assessor, and on motion of
Mr. WOdischek, seconded by Mr. Barton, the following
resolution was adopted accepting said roll.
