COUNCIL CHAMBER
December 6, 1937
The Council met in special session at 7: 30 P.M.
for the purpose of preparing the ballot box for the
Primary election to be held Tuesday, DecEmber 7th.
Before taking up the business of the meeting,
the Building Inspector asked the Council's advice in
regard to allowing C.N. Nelson permit for construction
of a building on Lot 19 Block 95. Applicant asked
that he be allowed to nlace same within fifteen feet
of the front lot line instead of the ususal twenty-five.
He explained that a fifteen-foot set-back would conform
with other dwellings in that block whereas twenty-five
feet would place his building in the rear of adjoining
houses. Because of this, it was agreed to grant the
request and allow Mr. Nelson to build wittl only a fif-
teen foot set-back, said special permission to be approved
at the next regular meeting of the Council.
The City Cmerk then presented to the Council
the required number of official ballots, a list of
the ,registered voters, tally sheets and other required
paraphernalia for the holding of the primary election
in the City on December 7th, 1937.
