Res No. 112-19RESOLUTION NO. 112-19 A RESOLUTION OF 1HE 01Y OF DELRAY BEAŒf, FLORIDA APPROVING 1HE UTILIZATION OF CON1RACT NO. 17-0606G BE1WEEN LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA AND MUNIOPAL EMERGENCY SERVICES, INC, TO OBTAIN EQUIPMENf FOR 1HE DELRAY BEAŒI FIRE DEP ARTMENf; AUTHORIZING 1HE OlY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A MASTER EQUIPMENf LEASE PURŒIASE AGREEMENf WI1H COMMUNI1Y FIRST NATIONAL BANK; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTIIER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the City of Delray Beach ("Qty') is authorized to enter into agreements to provide services, programming and products in accordance with its Charter; and WHEREAS, the Gty requires Self-Contained Breathing Apparatuses and Cylinders in order to operate its Fire Department; and WHEREAS, the City desires to utilize the pricing from Lake County Contract No. 17-0606G to acquire said equipment; and WHEREAS, the City desires to enter into an agreement with Community First National Bank, a leasing and financing division of Municipal Emergency Services, to purchase the necessary equipment, spreading the costs over three equal payments with no interest; and WHEREAS, the City Commission deems approval of this Resolution to be in the best interest of the health, safety, and welfare of the residents and citizens of the City of Delray Beach and the public at large. NOW, TIIEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY 1HE OlY COMMISSION OF 1HE 01Y OF DELRAY BEAŒf, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The foregoing recitals are hereby affirmed and ratified. Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Delray Beach has reviewed and hereby approves the utilization of Lake County Contract No. 17-0606G with Municipal Emergency Services to secure pricing for necessary equipment to operate its Fire Department. Section 3. The City Commission of the City of Delray Beach has reviewed and hereby approves the Agreement between the City and Community First National Bank, which is attached to this Resolution as Exhibit" A". Section 4. The City Commission authorizes the Gty Manager to execute the Agreement and any amendments and/ or renewals thereto, and take any other actions necessary to effectuate this Agreement. Section 5. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption. 2
