The Council met in adj ourned regular session
at 7:30 P. M. All members of the Council were present.
. A communication was read from Mr. A. W. Niokels
submitting a proposition to purchase tne Oline property
for the sum of $1300.00 cash. On motion uuly made,
seconded and oarried this matter was referred to the
Finance Committee.
A communication was read from the property owners
abutting Gleason Street on "file beach, requesting the Oity
to endorse their petition fer Federal aid on clearing the
street. It Was moved by Mr. Smi tn and lIIeeOl;lded. by Mr.
.Jacobs, and on roll call unanimously euried, that the Oity
endorse same.

Mr. .Jacobs offered the folloWing motion: That
the request for the street roller for the finishing of
the street near the Seaboard depot be referred to the
Street Committee with power to act. The motion was
seconded by Mr. Foote and on roll 08.1.1 the vote was as
follows: Mr. Orego no, Mr. Diggane yes, Mr. Foote yes,
Mr. .Jaoobs yes and Mr. Smith yes.
Mr. Smith requested instructions fI'emthe Council
Wi th reference to allOWing water consumers to work out
delinquent water bills. This matter was laid over until
the next regular meeting.
The City Attorney requested that the Clerk be
authorized to secure a oertified copy of tl1E:j,e,~l?luliJ~()u..
sui t now pending. It was !!Il)ved by Mr. CregG, seoonded by
Mr. .Jacobs and unanimously carried that this be done.
A supplementary pet1tll),nwas then read request-
ing that certain names be stricken from'thepetition
filed with the salary ordinance at the last regular meet-
ing and the Clerk read his certificate ste.tingthat when
the forty-two names on the SUpplementary petition were

stricken from the original petition the number would be
insufficient to introduoe or pass the ol'dinanee;' ":1t",. ,.
was moved by Mr. Jacobs that the report of the Clerk be
received and filed as correct. The motion was seconded
by Mr. Smith and on roll call unanimously carried.
W. .J. Johnston, president of the Merchants
Association, requested that the oocupational license
ordinance be amended; the merchants association agreeirg
to pay the 'ost of the same. The matter was referred to
the Attorney and Mr. .Johnston.
It was regularly moved, seconded and oarried
that Counoil adjourn.
