The minutes of meetings held July 11th, 19th, 20th and 21st ware read and approved. The applications c~' 3V. W. 9Pillisimson and Jack Chisholm- for positions on the garbage truck were read and on motion ` duly made, seconded and carried ordered filed. Communications were read Prom D~Tr. Fred E. Fenno regard= ing sane old fee accounts in the County Clerks office and referred to the City Clerk and attorney. The matter of collecting license for laundry wagons soliciting business in the City was referred to the Chief oP Police and the City Attorney. ~-~ The following motion was offered iry 1~&r. Diggans: That' BHr. J. K. Gwynn be appointed to serve as judge pf the. police ,,` court pro tem during the absence of Judge f7all and that he , !~ receive as compensation for said service X1.00 per. each ease tr#.ed. The motion was seconded by ~Ir. Berg and on roll call unanimously carried. y Hdr. Lot L. Smith, acting Mayor, then administered the oath of office to Mr. Gwynn. The following bills having been audited and O.K.'d by 'the Finance Committee were referred back to the Council and ordered paid: Delray Beach Fire Department ~ 88.50 Florida Power & bight Company 489.86 Southern Bell Telephone.
