A communication, accompanied b y a certificate of graduation, ^ was received from the State Firemans Association stating that Fire ~: 'Chief Cook had completed his course of instruction. President A Smith presented Chief Cook with the certificate. Mr. Diggans then ~ offered the follow•ing resolution: That a vote of congratulaticm s ' ?`" be extended Mr. Cook Por winning the certificate. The motion was 4+.° seconded by YJir. Myers & Son regarding the toilets in the City Park and in the pavilion at the bathing beach v The ratter was referred to the Park and SanitaryaCommittee. It was moved by Mr. Diggans that the resolution be adopted, seconded by Mr. Berg and on roll call unanimously carried. yr; n~.r. Berg reported that certain property owners had filed coal- ~e: plaints regarding an open ditch leading from the Federal Highway East `^'' to the Canal in Osceola Park.
