COUNCIL CHAb4BER

The Council met in regular session at 7:30 P. M.
All members of the Council were present.
Minutes of meetings held September 14th, 15th, 17th,
.
and 22nd were read. It was re~larly moved, seconded and
carried that all minutes be approved after excluding that
portion pertaining to the adoption of the 1931-32 budget at
the meeting held on September 17th, 1931.
A communication was read Prom the Drainage Tax Adjust-
ment Board with reference to adjusting taxes on the golf
course. On motion duly made, seconded and carried the matter
was deferred until the next regular meeting.
Mr. Berg. offered the following motion: That the
turtle back light at the intersection of the old Dixie High-
way and Atlantic Avenue and the overhead light on the Federal
Highway at Northeast Fourth Street be discontinued and removed. (?
The motion was seconded by Mr. Diggans and unanimously carried. ~~;`>
Sealed bids having been received for the materiel Yor
shed at the water plant it was moved, seconded and carried
that the same be opened. The bids were as follows:
Ocean City Lumber Company X259.24
Less 5~ for sash
Delray Lumber Company 179.00
For #3 Lumber
Delray Lumber Compan 189.00
For #2 Lumber PA~ No 2.
The Delray Lumber Company having submitted the lowest ~'~
bid Mr. Be rg offered the following motion: That the bid oP
the Delray Lumber Company be accepted. Th=motion was aeconded'~~ -~~+
by Doctor Love and on roll Ball unanimously carried.
It was moved by Doctor Love that the Checker Club be
granted permission to use the old Chamber oP Commerce Hall Por
a club room with the understanding that they would vacate the

hall when wanted for pub lie meetings or other gatherings. The "
motion was seconded by Mr. Diggans and carried.

Itwas moved, seconded and carried that current
bills be referred to the Finance Committee. The following
bills having been audited and 0. K.~d by the Finance
Committee were referred back to the Council and ordered
