February 8th, 1929.
The Council met in special session on call of the 11layor
at 10 A. PIf., the P1layor and all members of the Council vrere
present.
Mr. Smith introduced the follo~rring resolution, which was
read in full, after v;hich it was moved by P~Ir. Keen, seconded
by Mr. Smith and on roll call was unanimously adopted: A

"BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Delray
Beach, Florida, at a regular called meeting held on the 8th
day of February, 1929, that the said Honorable Board of County
Commissioners, in and for the County of Palm Beach, State of
Florida be and they are hereby requested to retain such moneys,'
as the pity of Delray Beach might be entitled to under section
1604 of Revised General Statutes of the State of Florida, 1920,
and to expend said moneys as heretofore expended on the con-
struction and maintenance of the county roads and highways,
which lie within and pass through the City of Delray Beach, Fla.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a cony of this resolution be
spread on the minutes of said City Council and that a copy
thereof the mailed to the Board of County Coiu~issioners that
they might be apprized of the wishes of said City Council.
PASSED, APPROVED AID ADOPTED under and by virtue of the
aforesaid authority, this the 8th day of February, A. D. 1929."
A communication was read from I~r. Cealo Mohawk applying Por
the position of life guar. at the beach and on motion duly made
seconded and carried the lerk was instructed to call P.4r. P.Sohawk
with a view of securing his services for the remainder of the
season.
On account of the improves nts on Lots 1 and 2 in Block l
3 Dell Park having been destroyed by the 1926 storm the Clerk wa
instruoted to remit the 1928 assessment, amounting to X300.00
on this property.

Current light bills having been audited and 0. K.'d by
the Finance Committee were on motion duly made, seconded and
carried ordered paid.
The Pdayor read a co.um~.nication from duPoint Ball & Com-
pany, bond brokers, of Jacksonville, Florida, who had made a
sununary of tine City's bonded indebtedness, which was then
taken up and discussed.
The Clerk was on motion duly made, seconded and carried
instructed to pay the coupons due on Atlantic Avenue paving
upon the written request of i;,r. Clint Moore, accompanied by the
coupons.
In the matter of uncollected taxes and improvement liens
the Clerk was instructed to have notices printed notifying the
property owners that unless these liens were paid the City vrould
be forced to foreclose on the property and sell in order to
satisify said past due liens.
It was moved by Mr. Porter that the City Attorney be in-
structed to proceed to take the necessary steps with a view of
having an enabling act past at the coming session of the State
Legislature.
The D,layor, City Attorney and I4Ir. Porter were appointed a
cor.~aittee to examine and make reco~[endations to the Council as
to such changes as they thought best in the present City Charter.
The Council adjourned.
