COUNCIL ROOM
April 29th, 1929.
The Council met in speoial session on Dell of the-Mayor at
2 P. M. The Mayor and all members of the Council were present.
After reading the Mayor's call Mr, Alley, representing the
Palm Beach Company, appeared before the Council and stated that it
was the desire of his company to have a certain strip or piece of
land lying in Shore Acres and known ea Lots B 8c C, 14A, 15A, 16A,
17A, 14, 15 and 16 in Block D, owned by the Gulf Stream Company
and now lying within the corporate limits of the City of Delray
Beach, annexed to the proposed Town of Gulf Stream.
The matter was discussed at oonsiderable length by members
of the Council and Mr. Alley. Mr. Peen then made the following
motion, that it is the sense of the Council that Lots B & C, 14A,
15A,"16A, 17A, 14, 15 and 16 in Block D, Palm Beaoh Shore Acres,
owned by the Gulf Stream Company and lying within the corporate
limits of the City of Delray Beach be excluded, provided, an agree-
ment can be reached with said Gulf Stream Company whereby the"City
of Delray Beach shall receive such proportion of the bonded indeb-
tedness and not less than the expense oP~all improvements on said
property and that. the said Gulf Stream Company is to pay a1T back
taxes, bear all expense of eleotion,-the publication of all necess-
ary ordinances and such other expense as may be incurred in order
to legalize the exclusion of said property. The motion was secon-
ded by Mr. Troup and an roll call unanimously carried.
The Council adjourned.
