COUPTCIL ROOM
June 17th, 1929.
The Council met in special session on call of the Iviayor at
10 A. M., Monday, Hune 17th, 1929. The Mayor and the following
members of the Council were present: Mr. Porter, Pair. Smith, Mr.
Troup and Mrs. 'Narfield.
The meeting was called for the purpose of confirming or re-
jecting the sale of the N. 50' of the S. 100' of the N. 220' of
the E2 of Block 99.
The following resolution was introduced and read by Mr.
Porter: TMWHI;REAS, the City of Delray Beach, Florida, is the own-
er of certain property in the City of Delray Beach, Palm Beae h
County, Florida, described as follows, to-wit:
That part of Block 99, commencing at a point
I20 feet South oP the Northeast corner of Block 99
of the City of Delray Beach, Florida, and running
South along Northeast Fifth Avenue (formerly Boynton
Street) a distance of 50 feet; thence Nest to the
middle of said block, the nee North along the middle
of said block 50 feet; thence East to the point of
beginning, said tract ~f land being also described
as the North ~0' of the South 100' of the North 220' of
the East half of Block 99 of the City of Delray
Beach, Florida;
AND, SEAS, the said property has been listed for sale by
the City of Belray Beach, Dlorid a, under authority of a resolution
heretofore passed and adopted;
AND, 4YL~REAS, an offer has been made to the City of Delray
Beach, Florida, by J. A. Barton and Almira Barton, his wife, of
Eighteen Hundred 01800.00) Dollars cash for said property, the
said offer having been made through Matt Gracey, a real estate
broker of the City of Delray Beach, Florida;
NOtiV, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, that the said offer of Eighteen
Hundred 01800.00) Dollars cash for the property hereinabove de-
scribed be accepted;
ATID BE IT FURT;t RESOLVED that the P.4ayor and Clerk of the
City of Delray Beach, Florida, be and they are hereby directed to
execute and deliver a warranty deed conveying said property to the
said J. A. Barton and Almira Barton, upon receipt of the sum of
Eighteen Hundred 01800.00) Dollars in aash; one-half of the 1929
taxes to be paid by the purchaser at the regular tax payment time

AND BE IT FCTRTHE t RESOLVED that the sum of Ninety 090.00 )
Dollars, representing five (5J) per cents of the sales price be
paid to Matt Gracey, as real estate broker, for his covanission
for making such sale .TM
Mr. Troup moved the adoption of the resolution as read,
which was seconded by &ir. Porter and on roll call it was unani-
mously adopted.
