07-12-292U1. COUTJCIL ROOP:T July 12th, 1929. The Council met as an Equalization Board at 9 A. P,?. with the following members present: Il4r. heen, i~;;r. Porter, i14r. Smith, and Mr. Troup. It was regularly moved, seconded and carried that 1;Zr. Smith be elected president pro tem to preside at this meeting. Dr. ~`i. C. 47illiams appeared before the Board and protested the raising of-the assessment on the S1 of Block 140. The matter was discussed at considerable length, after which P2r. Keen made the following motion: "That the assessments on the Sz of Block 140 be fixed at X3400.00, Block 141 X3400.00, Block 148 P3400.00, Block 149 $3400,00, Block 157 ;3,000.00, Log in in Sea Breeze Park X2400, Lot 2 ;1,000, Lot 3 ~~"400,00 Lot 4 ~40~, Lot 5 `400, Lot 6 ~~400, the Alterep Hotel property :30,000, Casa Del Rey Hotel property ,19,000, the Seacrest Hotel property at X17,500. The motion was seconded by tl:r. Troup and on roll call unanimously carried. It was regularly moved, seconded•and carried that the Clerk be instructed to notify the owners of the above described property of the action taken by the Equalization Board and that said Equaliz- ation Board would sit in the Council Chamber of the City Hall in Delray Beach, Florida, on Friday, Tuly 26th, 1929, at 9 A. IVI. at which time and place persons desiring to protest the above action would be hesrd, othervrise, the assessment roll would be adopted as revised.
