09-09-29 Regular243 COUNCIL ROOM September 9th, 1929. The Council met in regular session. The following members were presents Mr. Seen, Mr. Smith, Mr. Troup and Mrs. Warfield, Mr. Porter was absent. The minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved. A communication was received from Mr. J hn I. Thieme request-' ink a permit to repair the old Repp resident a oust oP approx- imately ~23000C. It was regularly moved, seconded and carried that this permit be granted. The Clerk was instracted to purohase Pour rolls of roofing `, paper for the purpose of replacing the roof on the gsrage in the .j rear of the p~ Ranson pxvperty on the North Dizie Highway. Th@ Clerk reported that he had a prospective tenant for the Sonth Hanson property at a rental of ~15.CQ per month. It was (~ regularly moved, seoonded and eearried that the Clerk be authorized *i' to rent this property at the above mentioned rental. The otdinancse wsa. read in full and Mr. Troup moved that the same be passed qn its final reading and adoption. The motion was seoonded by Mr. Keen and on roll sell unanimously serried. Fire chief Cook requested and wee granted a vacation of eighteen days. Mr. Smith moved that upon the reoeipt ©P~ t~ig,fshipment of pipe, ordered from the National teat Iron Pipe Comp ,was found to be 0. K. that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized and instructed to pay for the same out of the funds set aside for that purpose. The motion was seconded by Mr. Tranp and on roll call unanimously carrig Mr. Smith was authorized to purchase a lawn mower for the Gitjt It was moved, seconded and carried that current bills be re- ferred to the Finance ~ommitte®. The president appointed Mr. smith and Mr. Troup members of the Finance Committee pro tem to serve during the absence of Mrs. War ^~- field and Mr. Porter. ~~ Current bills having been audited and 0, 8, 'd by the Finance ..,. 2~ council Roam - September 9th, 1929.
