COUNCIL ROOI~4
November 16th, 1929.
The Council met in adjourned regular session at 9 A. M.
The following members were present: Mr. Keen, Mr. Porter, Mr.
~nith and _r,7r. Troup.
The Mayor and Clerk were authorized and directed to execute
a deed to Lot 33 Block 8 Dell Park to ft+ir. Wm. Mayer and wife.
Mr. Keen submitted a bid from Mr. John I. Tr,ieme for the
repairing oi" the roof on the sewage disposal plant in the City
Park, for the sum of X191.00. It was moved by Mr. Troup and
seconded by Mr. Porter that Mr. Thieme's bid be accepted. The
motion was unanimously carried.
The application of Ii4r. W. ti'J. Lotspeich for payment of an
estimate,on contract for the new water plant amounting to
y~894.60 was on motion duly made, seconded and carried allowed
and ordered paid.
The application of Mr. Wilbur Hays for the positon of
life guard at the beach was read and ordered filed.
The following resolution was introduced: WFD;REAS the City
Charter of the City of Delray Beach, Florida, designates the
first Tuesday after the first Monday in December as the date
for holding the general election and WI~REAS the following can-
didates have qualified by filing their respective petitions
before the 13th day of lovember, signed by twenty-five or more
regular voters:

NCGd, TFiEREFCRE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Delray Beach, Florida, that the above list be declared
the regular candidates Por the respective offices as listed to
be voted for on December 3rd, 1929,
BE IT FURTIR;R RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby in-
structed to have ballots prepared and printed. That said
election shall be held in the Chamber of C~nerce Hall between
the hours of 8 A. Pd. and sundown. BE IT F[TRTFByR RESOLVED that
the following gzalified voters be appointed inspectors of said
election: bir. John Berg, Mrs Frank Dean, Mr. Paul James and
Mr. A. G. Evans as clerk. Mr. Keen moved the adoption oP the
resolutd~on, nahich was seconded by Mr. Porter and unanimously
carried.
The Council adjourned.
