COUNCIL ROOPII
January 16th, 1928.
The Council met in adjourned regular session, president
J. L. Troup presiding. Councilmen Jacobs, Keen and Smith were
present; Councilmen Warfield and the IrTayor were absent.
The hour of 7:30 having arrived it was moved by Mr. Keen
and seconded by 2Jir. Jacobs that bids for the collection of
garbage and street cleaning be closed. The motion was carried
unanimously. '
It was moved, seconded and carried unanimously that said
bids be opened. The bids received and the price bid were as
follows: R. V. Priest 20.00 per month, L. L. Croft x"425.00
per month, Jacob Davis 433.00 per month, W. C. Turnbull X500.00
per month, F. P. Morgan 445.00 per month. ,
It was moved by tir. Keen and seconded by Mr. Smith that
the bid be awarded to hir. L. L. Croft, who was the lovaest
bidder, subject to the execution of the contract and that the
Clerk be instructed to return the deposits to the unsuocessPul .
bidders. The motion was carried. -~.
The Ordinance Committee was instructed to meet with the
Cit Attorne in order to facilitate the ~
y y preperation of the
ordinances regarding fire regulatioha, salaries and duties of
committees.
It was moved by ~.'Ir. Smith that an expenditure of #150.00;';:
be authorized to the American Legion toward putting in ropes
and buoys at the beach and the Clerk be instructed to make said::
expenditure. The motion was carried.
The question of setting speed limits was refQrred to the
Ordinance Oommittee for suggestions.
Council adjourned.

established September 1st, 1926 under my direction.
