The Board of Equalization met on call at 10 A. I!i., July
18th. n-ir. Jacobs, &ir. Keen, rir. Smith and T~Ir. Troup were present":
Mr. F. H. Sink appeared before the ]hoard requesting a re-
duction of personal property assessment, presenting a bi7.1 oP sale
which he had executed some months ago on his equipment and automo-
bile, stating that his household furnitn~e cost when new approxim-
ately x"2350.00. It was moved by T,Ir. Omith and seconded by Mr.
Keen that his personal property assessment be fixed at ;750.00.
On roll call the vote was as follows: Mr. Keen yea, btr. Smith yea,
114r. Troup yea and box. Jacobs no.
T,~;rs. k. G. Evans appeared before the Board and discussed
the raise of assessment on her house on hots 10 and 11 in Block 66.
It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the rssessment
of X9,000 remain.
The question of assessment on furniture and improvements of-
the Delray Theatre was discussed and on motion duly made, seconded
and carried unanimously the assessment was reduced from X8500.00
to x"7500.00.
It was moved by,2?r. Keen and seconded by P:=r. Troup that the
assessment of r.4rs. George Snow .remain as fixed by the assessor, sb:e
being entitled to a widows exemption only. The motion was carried _
unanimously.
A communication Prom Tcir. Tiaatt Gracey was read asking for
adjustment of assessment on acreage in Section 21-46-43 listed in
the name of H. D. F_irk. On motion duly made, seconded ana carried
the Board declined to make any redudition but the Clerk was instruc-
ted to make the correction on tax book according to the description
on the.. deed.
It was regularly movedy seconded and_ carried that the assess-.
ment of n?r. P.4ike h. Bla~k be riot changed.
It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the
Board adjourn sine die.
