19 couiQCIL R©oM September 12th, 1928. The Council met in adjourned regular session with the Mayor and all members of the Council present. Messrs. Barnett and Taylor, of the engineering firm of Butler, Barnett Fe Taylor, were present and presented a proposition to the Council which was read and diapusaed at length. It was moved by Mr. Keen and seconded by Mr. Jacobs that the matter oP any formal action be left with the Water ~ bight Committee for further consideration and recommendation. The motion was parried unani- mously. ' The matter of reading, rearranging and indexing the old ordinances was then taken up and it was moved by Mrs. Warfield, seconded by Mr. Japoba and unanimously carried that the matter of codifying and indexing these books be deferred for the time being and that the Clerk and Auditor purchase a new binder and index for same. All members of the Council then proceeded to the beach to make a personal inspection with a view of making some improvements. It was Pound that the present parking apace for automobiles was inadequate and it was moved, seconded and parried that this space be extended. Mr. Keen offered the following resolution; 4t WHEREAS the interest on three certain time deposit oertifi- patea held by and in favor of the City of Delray Beaph and against the Delray Bank ~ Trust Company has not been paid BE IT RESOLVED that the Clerk is hereby authorized to ndtify the repeiver of said Delray Bank ~ Trust Company that all of the collateral sepurity held by said City to sepure the payment of three pertain pertifipates of deposit will be sold at publip outcry in front of the clerks office in the Municipal building in the City of Delray Beseh at ten D'oloek A. M. on the 24th day of September A. D. 19 28 . BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all of said sums as directed in said oertifioates be declared due and payable for the want oP non- payment of interest and on which said interest became due and payable 21 Council Room - September 12th, 1928. on April lst, 1928, which said interest payment has not been paid and that said City deolare all oP said deposit due and payable. 1t was moved by Mr, daooba and seconded by Bdra. WarPield that the resolution be adopted and on roll Dell the vote was unani- mous. The Oouncil adjourned to meet Saturday, September 15th, at 10 A. M. ~/ y er .
