A RESOLUTION OF TI-IE QTY OF DELRAY BEAŒI, FLORIDA,
APPROVING TIIE LOCAL AGENCY PROGRAM AGREEMENf WI1H
TIIE FLORIDA DEPART.MENI' OF TRANSPORTATION REGARDING
RECEIPT OF GRANI' FUNDS FOR ALLEYWAY IMPROVEMENfS;
AUTHORIZING TIIE MAYOR TO EXECUTE TIIE AGREEMENf AND
DIRECTING AND AUTHORIZING TIIE QTY MANAGER TO TAKE
ALL NECESSARY ACTIONS TO EFFECTUATE SAME; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE AND FOROTIIERPURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Delray Beach (Gty) is authorized to enter into agreements to provide services,
programming and products in accordance with its Charter; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to improve the alleys located between SE 4th Avenue and S. Federal Highway
from SE 3rd Street to SE 4th Street, and from SE 5th Street to SE 7th Street, and between SE 4th Avenue & S.
Federal Highway from SE 9th Street to SE 10th Street; and
WHEREAS, the City is approved to receive funding assistance in the maximum amount of Six Hundred
Sixty-Five Thousand Three Hundred and Ninety 0/100 Dollars ($665,390.00) from the Florida Department of
Transportation (FDOT) via a federal project funding grant; and
WHEREAS, the City must enter into a Local Agency Program Agreement with the FDOT in order to
receive the funding for the construction of the Alley Enhancement; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems approval of this Resolution to be in the best interests of the health,
safety, and welfare of the residents and citizens of the City of Delray Beach and the public at large.
NOW, TIIEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED BY TIIE QTY CO1'vflv1ISSION OF TIIE QTY OF
DELRAY BEAŒI, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section l. That the foregoing recitals are hereby affirmed and ratified.
Section 2. The Mayor is hereby directed and authorized to execute the Local Agency Program
Agreement between the City of Delray Beach and the Florida Department of Transportation.
Section 3. The Ciry Manger is hereby directed and authorized to take all actions necessary and prudent
in order to effectuate same.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
