A RESOLUTION OF TI-IE QTY OF DELRAY BEAŒI,
FLORIDA APPROVING TI-IE RECO1\.1MENDA TION OF
AWARD AND AUTHORITY TO NEGOTIATE AN
AGREEMENT WI1H GULF BUILDING LLC. FOR DESIGN
BUILD AND CONSTRUCTION SERVICES AUTHORIZING
TI-IE QTY MANAGER TO EXECUΠTI-IE AGREEMENT
AND TAKE ALL ACTIONS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE
11-IIS AGREEMENT; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE;
AND FOR OTI-IER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Delray Beach ("Qty'') is authorized to enter into negotiates to produce
agreements to provide design and construction services, and programming and products in accordance
with its Charter; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to enter into negotiation to obtain an agreement with Gulf Building,
LLC., for construction services to design and build Fire Station 113 and an Emergency Operations Center;
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems approval of this Resolution to be in the best interest of
the health, safety, and welfare of the residents and citizens of the City of Delray Beach and the public at
large.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE QTY COMMISSION OF THE QTY
OF DELRAY BEAŒI, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section l. The foregoing recitals are hereby affirmed and ratified.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Delray Beach approves the recommendation
of award to Gulf Building, LLC and authorizes the City Manager, or designee, to commence negotiations
with Gulf Building, LLC.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
