A RESOLUTION OF THE OlY OF DELRAY BEAŒI, FLORIDA,
APPROVING THE LOCAL AGENCY PROGRAM AGREEMENT

REGARDING RECEIPT OF GRANT FUNDS FOR THE LOWSON
BOULEVARD PROJECT FROM DOVER ROAD TO US-1/SE 5TH
AVENUE; AU1HORIZING THE OlY MANAGER TO EXECUŒ
ANY AMENDMENTS AND/OR RENEWALS; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE AND FOROTHERPURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Delray Beach (City) is authorized to enter into agreements to provide services,
programming and products in accordance with its Charter; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to improve Lowson Boulevard between Dover Road and US- 1/SE 5t1,
Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City is approved to receive funding assistance in the maximum amount of Four Million
Four Hundred Sixty-Three Thousand Dollars ($4,463,000.00) from the Florida Department of Transportation
(FDOT) via a federal project funding grant; and
WHEREAS, the City must enter into a Local Agency Program Agreement with the FDOT in order to
receive the funding for the construction of the Lowson Boulevard Project; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems approval of this Resolution to be in the best interests of the
health, safety, and welfare of the residents and citizens of the City of Delray Beach and the public at large.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED BY THE OlY CO1v1ìv1I SSION OF THE OlY OF
DELRAY BEAŒI, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section l. That the foregoing recitals are hereby affirmed and ratified.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Delray Beach has reviewed and hereby approves this
Agreement between the City of Delray Beach and the Florida Department of Transportation.
Section 3. The City Commission authorizes the City Manager to execute any amendments and/ or
renewals thereto, and take any other actions necessary to effectuate this Agreement.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective irnmedi upon its passage and adoption.
