Beach Area Master Plan 6:10:45 (timestamp) Mr. Cooper: We have talked about internally which I think goes into the Mayor’s comments about finalizing the project in a single phase is that I’d like you to consider delegation of authority similar to what was done for Old School Square under the same conditions of reporting so that we can speed this process up and make those kinds of judgement calls from a design, engineering and constructability purpose. Deputy Vice Mayor Jarjura: I totally agree with that. Mr. Cooper: I would like whatever motion you make, I would like that at least included. Thank you. Commissioner Petrolia expressed thanks to EDSA for being so open and malleable. There was discussion regarding the design. Commissioner Katz agreed to give consent to the City Manager to move forward. He thanked EDSA and the citizens for all of their work. Mayor Glickstein commented on the design. He stated that he concurred to give the City Manager whatever staff he needs in terms of authority to execute and put the pedal to the metal. Mr. Morgan stated he’d take the Mayor’s comments into the final design which will be brought back to the Commission. Commissioner Katz made a motion to delegate to the City Manager whatever he said, which was seconded by Commissioner Petrolia.
