Pdayor Smith called the adjourned session of the council
to order at 3 PM. with councilmen Barwick, Evans,JelY.s, and
SuncP,y present.
The discussion with I,?r.C.R.Preston of the Florida
Power and Light Co., was continued and at this time he
agreed that the following revisions in the contract would be
satisfactory to the Company.
(1) That a revision be made to allow-the city the advantage
of lower fuel cost.
(2) That the Power Company would take over the ownership
and maintenance of the whiteway.
It was moved by Mr.Jelks,seconded by Mr.l:vans that the proposa
of the Florida Power and Light Co., be referred to a vote of
the people at an early date. On roll call the vote was unan-
imous.
The council instructed the clerk to inform Mr.Prudden,
who represents the syndicate of Bond Bgyers of the $900,000.
Bond Issue, that the 263,000. worth of Bonds for the Electric
Light Plant would not be sold at present.
The,city Clerk was also authorized to wire P4r.C.T.Baker
~ISpecial Consulting Electrical Engineer, to return to Delray at
once for a conference with the Florida Power and Light Co., ,in
view to drawing up a final contract satisfactory both to tie
council and Mr. Baker.

the city registration book be opened at once,and remain
