You are hereby notified that there will
be a special meeting of tY~e city council of
the city of Delray, Friday night, at 8 o'clock
at the city hall for the purpose of considering
~:he proposal of the Florida Power and bight
Company together with IvTr. G.T.Baker's recommenda-
tions, and to take whatever action in regard to
the same that the council may deem neceessary.~

The council met at the call of the Pdayor.
ouneilmen Barwick, Evans, Jelks, O'Neal and Sundt'
ere present.
- RSr. Preston of the Florida Power and Zight Company
presented the Yinal proposal of that company to the
city, after which Mr.C.T.Baker, Engineer, reoommended
the refection of the Power Company's proposed contract.
It was then moved by Mr. O'Neal, and seconded by Pdr.
Evans that the city proceed with their plans for construct-
ion of its own power plant. On Roll oa'll the vote
was .unanimous.
It was moved by Mr. Evans, seconded by Mr.
O'Neal that the Water and bight Committee be empowered
to select a site for the new Water and Zight plant ,
to proceed at once with plans for its construction, and
to enter into a contract with Mr. Baker for engineering
services on the power plant. The motion was carried
unanimously.
j The clerk was instructed to inform P~1r.
Prudden that the council would be glad to have him take
the x'263,000.00 worth of bonds which had previously
been ordered withheld.
